Welcome post (October 5th 2019)
Welcome to my blog. I am a beginner in this field. Here are some news of my activity during the summer of 2019.
The first part of the summer in Puget was occupied by the activities organized in Puget and every year, like circus shows or concerts, as we are offered every year by the General Council or the municipality of Puget, as well as two shows in the hall, one in Valberg (Gérard Lenorman) and the other in Nikaïa (Michel Fugain). I also went to represent La Roudoule Ecomuseum at several local events or in the surrounding area. The annual festival of our street (rue C. Brouchier) gave rise to 2 days of festivities (see video).
We then made a tour of the north of France in several stages in September, one of the reasons being the participation in a 4 days meeting in Rennes. The trip to Rennes in early September took place in 4 stages with a first stop in Die and a visit to the butterfly farm (superb!). See a lot of pictures to watch in my gallery. The next day, we had a second stop in Thiers to visit the city, the museum of cutlery, etc. Then a 3rd stage takes us to my brother-in-law Jean-Louis and A-Marie in Touraine with a tasting of Vouvray at the key. We finally arrived in Rennes two days before the congress, which allowed us to make several visits on the north coast of Brittany, including a trip to Cancale for a tasting of oysters + seafood and tutti chianti; Watch in this regard in my photo gallery some examples, including another memorable tasting with three of my Czech colleagues who came to the congress and with whom we had the opportunity to visit Mont St Michel.
This congress was very nice and I met again a lot of friends, including colleagues from my Czech laboratory, not less than 18 people! The wife of Roland Billard (one of my colleagues who died last March and for who we were at his funeral in Paris) was also present the day I made an oral presentation with photos and videos in memory of the late Roland (view the photo-gallery). Roland was a professor of ichthyology at the Natural History Museum of Paris (Ichthyology = science of the study of fish). In the evening, we participated in the closing banquet, with Breton orchestra, bagpipes, boring and folkloric dances: the participants of course took part and everyone was very excited! (see video)
The day after the noon session, we took Armelle (Roland Billard's wife) to Larmor-Baden, in Morbilhan Bay, where their country house is located. After spending the night at her house, we left via the ferry from Quiberon to Belle-Ile to join a couple of kind friends (Marc Suquet of IFREMER and his wife) who have their country house and where we enjoyed the visit of a lot of beautiful sea cliffs. We loved this island, but we must say that we stayed there while there reigned a resplendent weather (see photo gallery)
After Belle-île, we visited my brother-in-law in Touraine and moved the next day to our chalet in the Frisons in Savoie, where we spent a few days, accompanied by several visits, including one at the Iseran pass (see photos), then spending a week in the Jura mountains.
Michel and Jacqueline, my cousin / cousin of Montpellier, were to join us in Savoie so that we are together for this stay in the French Jura and in Switzerland but the recent health of Jacqueline is not brilliant, their arrival was very compromised. We still managed to spend a week together in the French Jura near Pontarlier (see photos of a meeting with a deer in heat). As we had not left our village during this summer, this little tour of France was a holiday. The wonderful weather we have enjoyed in Brittany continues to reign here since our return last Monday, and we are delighted, especially after undergoing the winter taste in the Jura (sometimes no more than 8°C).
